Photography 101: a photography workshop by Loominaria at Verde Di Calabria
The cultural program of Verde Di Calabria continues to grow with a new event dedicated to creativity and visual expression, promoted by Loominaria.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, “Photography 101” will take place — an introductory workshop led by Laura Lauro, designed for those who wish to approach photography in an authentic way, developing a more conscious and creative eye.
Learning to see, before learning to shoot
Photography is not only about technique, but above all about observation. This workshop is designed to guide participants through a process that begins with the gaze — the ability to notice details, light, and atmosphere.
During the first part of the session, the fundamental principles of photography will be explored: light, composition, and the use of tools. Through the analysis of images by great photographers, participants will gain insight into what makes a photograph effective and meaningful.
From theory to practice: experimenting with light
After an initial phase of inspiration and learning, the workshop will move into a practical and immersive session. Within a photographic set created специально for the occasion, participants will have the opportunity to experiment directly with lighting, portraits, and details.
It will be a free and creative space where participants can immediately apply what they have learned, transforming ideas and intuitions into concrete images through guided exercises and moments of discussion.
